About Moover
Origins of Moover
I first saw this game on my HP48 calculator. It was called "Garbage" on the calculator, and it took me several years to discover the actual name of this game is Sokoban*, which also didn't make much sense at the time. I no longer have the calculator because someone stole it during my first year in college. Being a poor college student I could barely afford one calculator, let alone a replacement. I remembered the joy this game brought to me and I wanted to make a modern day version that anyone with a Javascript enabled Internet browser could enjoy. The main character of the game is a cow just because I think that's a cute picture. As my friend and I were discussing the cow moving stuff around the level, the name Moover was born.
* Sokoban means warehouse keeper in Japanese.

The Programmer
Here's where I write a little about me. My name is Emre. I love writing programs, especially interactive programs such as games. I have been programming anything programmable in any programming language for as long as I can remember. The biggest reward of programming is having people use and enjoy the programs I have created, and the Internet is great for this because I can share my creations with everyone everywhere.

Thanks
Although nobody helped me program any of Moover, I have to thank:
  • David for suggesting the name Moover after seeing the cow.
  • Steve for testing the game and confirming that the blinking cow is indeed cute.
  • Google for helping me learn PHP.
  • My wife for testing.
  • Anyone else who plays.
